Foreign direct investment (FDI) plays a significant role in global economy. This bachelor's thesis aims to analyze FDI flows in Brazil, the Russian Federation, India and China (also referred to collectively as BRIC). The BRIC countries are at present considered as the fastest growing economies. By improving the business environment they attract more and more foreign investors. But recently they also became a noted source of FDI. The work is divided into three parts. The first one deals with FDI in general, FDI impacts on host economies and global FDI flows. The second part is devoted to introducing the BRIC countries. The third part gives an overview about FDI flows in the BRIC countries.
